I have been looking for a shot of Bob for the last couple of days. I knew I had it somewhere but I couldn't find it.
Isthmus emailed me looking for a shot and after more digging I found it. We were goofing around in the studio one day when I took this. It might have been when I got the big Octobank. If any of you want a copy let me know and I will forward it to you.

It took me a little while for the news about Bob's death to reach me here and I just have to say I am in shock. I want to say now what I should have said a long time ago: thanks for being so remarkably kind and thoughtful, for reaching out to me when I was new to Madison and making sure I found my feet. We'll miss you.

I knew Bob back in those wild days of the madison Press connection. He lived next door- on Spaight Street, across from BB Clark Beach. Thanks to him, a trove of pics document those times- one of which I recently unearthed. Great guy- I will be there in spirit this Saturday. Thanks Bob, for adding so much to all our lives.

at Bob's gathering today. I will not be there because I will be hosting the Barack the Block party all afternoon. I hope and like to assume that Bob would not only be okay with that, but in fact proud of me.
