The Other Side Of Bob

This was taken twenty-seven years ago, nearly to the day, on my piece of land in the Upper Peninsula. I posted it not long ago, but do it again now as a tribute to our friend and collegue.

Bob had gone out walking around noon and after several hours still hadn't returned to the cabin. We started to get concerned so fanned out to look for him. When I found him sitting at the top of this bluff, he was totally transfixed in a meditative state and didn't hear me coming or the click of my shutter. I don't know if Bob made any photos while sitting there. My impression is that he was just memorizing the scene tree by tree.
